In this paper we evaluate the application of data fusion or meta-search methods, combining different algorithms and XML elements, to content-oriented retrieval of XML structured data. The primary approach is the combination of a probabilistic methods using Logistic regression and the Okapi BM-25 algorithm for estimation of document relevance or XML element relevance, in conjunction with Boolean approaches for some query elements. In the evaluation we use the INEX XML test collection to examine the relative performance of individual algorithms and elements and compare these to the performance of the data fusion approaches.  相似文献

The effects of team identification on sport consumer behaviour are well established. Recent research, however, has moved beyond this perspective to examine how groups within and beyond the team identity influence consumption. Assimilating previous research findings, we advance a Multiple In-group Identity Framework (MIIF), which consists of three levels: (1) superordinate (e.g., team identity), (2) subgroup (e.g., specific stadium area), and (3) relational group (e.g., friends or family). In the MIIF, we conceptualise the complex array of groups to which a consumer may belong within a superordinate identity. Each level includes groups with varying degrees of inclusiveness, homogeneity, and interpersonal attachment to other consumers between members. Individuals seek out sub and relational group membership because solely identifying at the superordinate level may not provide optimal distinctiveness or sufficient interpersonal attachment to other consumers. This provides self-concept benefits that nourish and operate in complement with the superordinate identification. The extent that different in-group identities influence behaviour relates to their importance in a consumer's self-concept and relevance to context. We provide implications for theory and practice.  相似文献

[目的/意义] 异构信息网络融合对于异构信息网络本身及其相关应用意义重大。综述异构信息网络融合方法,并进行客观的分析和评价,以期为进一步研究提供新的思路。[方法/过程] 在对异构信息网络及其相关概念进行辨析的基础上,对异构信息网络融合方法进行调研、分析与归纳,评述该领域的研究现状,提出未来可能的研究方向。[结果/结论] 异构信息网络融合方法分为基于元路径提取、多重关系网络及超图/超网络建模等五种类型,具体方法各有优势与局限;当前异构信息网络融合研究尚处起步阶段,研究方法有待丰富;基于元路径提取的融合方法显现不足;基于异构信息网络融合的应用型研究需进一步开拓。  相似文献

This study explores the disconnection that exists between the number of friends and relationships people maintain in their face-to-face interactions and the number of connections people establish on social networking sites. Specifically, we examined the extent to which Facebook users “friend” people they dislike and find annoying on Facebook and the reasons people offer for engaging in these seemingly nonintuitive behaviors. The results indicate that, in a sample of college students (N = 305), the majority of Facebook users are friends with people they dislike on Facebook (61%) and actively read the postings of individuals even though they find their postings annoying (85%). Participants’ sex, intensity of Facebook use, and general relational anxiety all independently predicted the occurrence of friending disliked others and actively reading annoying postings. A uses and gratifications framework was adopted to develop a typology of reasons why people engage in these behaviors. Monitoring, surveillance, downward social comparison, and other explanations were provided by participants to account for their behavior on Facebook. How engaging in these online behaviors might affect the psychological well-being of individuals and quality of interpersonal relationships is discussed, and future directions for research are offered.  相似文献

In the workplace, a supervisor’s communication of dominance can be used to help accomplish tasks and complete work. Further, perceptions of credibility can be integral in influencing employees and creating an open work climate. The goal of this investigation was to understand how supervisors’ messages of dominance were related to perceptions of supervisor credibility. In this study, 303 participants working in various industries completed measures of interpersonal dominance and credibility about their direct supervisor. As hypothesized, influence and focus/poise were positively related to competence, goodwill, and trustworthiness, whereas conversational control was negatively related to goodwill and trustworthiness. Further, self-assurance was negatively related to goodwill. Regression analyses determined that influence and focus/poise had the strongest relationship to all three dimensions of credibility.  相似文献
